Secondary school students in 2025
- Emanuel (Aquinas High school)
Emanuel was in form three in the above school in 2025. He remains steadfast in his studies and is gradually improving in science subjects which were initially challenging for him. He will be doing his fourth and final year of secondary education in 2026.
Emanuel has maintained the leadership role in his school and tries to balance both academics and leadership very well. He is organised, focused and has a strong personality which works well in building his career.
His mother operates different businesses for survival and works in a wines and spirits outlet.
College students
- Nicole (Technical university of Kenya)
Nicole continued her studies at the above college where she is pursuing a diploma in international relations and diplomacy. She is performing well despite the many strikes currently being experienced in colleges and universities.
- Sprewell (Kenyatta University College)
Sprewell is a continuing student in the above college, currently in the second year since September 2025. His performance is well above average despite the strikes experienced at public universities this year.
His mother, Naomi, still operates her small businesses to provide a livelihood for the family. His father often finds casual jobs around and if there are none, he helps in the family business. Family income is about kshs.30, 000 per month.
- June (Maseno University)
June was in the fourth and final year of his study in 2025. He’s already looking for something to do as he awaits graduation which is scheduled for January 2026. Meanwhile he continues to assist young students within the estate where he lives with their holiday school assignment. Giving back to the community has been his passion. He always loves to help wherever he can.
His mother runs different small businesses which she alternates from time to time depending on what is in demand. June’s father also makes contributions towards family upkeep through his mechanical jobs, and this has helped in boosting family income. Average family income is kshs.35, 000 per month.
- Mitchell (RVIST)
Mitchel completed her course in business information technology in 2025. She is also waiting for graduation which will take place in February 2025. Meanwhile, she got an opportunity to work in a finance office of a micro credit company just to get exposure. They offer her kshs.3,000 for transport.
Her mother operates different small businesses to fend for the family while her father gets casual jobs which adds to family income. The average family income is kshs.30, 000 per month.
- Jerry ( Kenyatta University)
Jerry was on internship during the first quarter of 2025 and graduated with a second-class honors upper division in the same year. He was taking a course in information science. He was retained where he had his internship on short contracts which are often renewed. At least Jerry has work to do even as he looks for other opportunities.
His mother still operates a general merchandise business. Most of her products are textile and cutlery mainly for the low-income group. Average income from business activities is kshs.30, 000 per month. Jerry’s father often help in the business whenever he is free.
